Grapefruit Gin Fizz in a Mason Jar

You don't have to visit a fancy club or restaurant for a quality cocktail. We make ours right on the farm, complete with mason jars! This simple Grapefruit Gin Fizz recipe is fun to make and easy to adjust to your preferences.

The first photo shows the mason jar after we've just finished shaking - the egg white makes a great foam!

The second photo is without egg white, since some of us like that more.

Feel free to experiment to get the Grapefruit Gin Fizz you like best. Enjoy!

You Need:

- 1 whole grapefruit, juiced with 2-3 segments set aside (we like Ruby Red)

- pint size mason jar with lid

- glass

- ice

- 1 1/2 oz gin

- 1 oz simple syrup

- 1 egg white

Directions:

  • Juice the grapefruit and set aside 2-3 segments

  • Fill the mason jar half full with ice

  • Add the gin, simple syrup, 2 oz of grapefruit juice, and egg white

  • Put the lid on the mason jar and shake vigorously until frothy (about 1 minute)

  • Put some ice in your glass and strain and pour the gin fizz into it

  • Add the grapefruit segments to the glass - the more segments, the more zing!
